Hi guys, happy Sunday!
I'm having a lazy Sunday of surfing on the internet, looking for some interior inspiration. My latest obsession is vintage, I developed this opinion that I don't want to have the same living room as everyone else my age, I'm looking for a bit of character in my interior. So here are some inspirational images of gorgeous, one-of-a-kind pieces.
I'm absolutely in love with these bright little tea cups, this is exactly what I need for my morning caffeine shot, instant happymaker! They also make the cutest decoration: Stack them on top of each other, put a candle in them or display them with fake cakes and macarons for that Marie-Antoinette atmosphere.
Candle holders are my favourite decoration item to shop for, they have to be big and draw attention. I'm checking second-hand websites and antique markets, the goal is to collect unique, durable pieces that are timeless.
I absolutely love crystal, it looks so royal and chic. The BF is a whiskey-lover so a few months ago we picked up a crystal jug in Antwerp, together with 6 glasses and now the hunt has started for wine glasses!
As I said in the intro, we don't have a lot of furniture stores in the area, so everyone my age has the same type of couch, the same kind of living room furniture, dining table,... I never wanted a showroom living room, I want different coloured furniture with unique features that I can combine to a personalized set-up where I feel at home. From the moment we have the opportunity to move to a bigger space, I want to buy a chest of drawers second-hand and completely refurbish it the way I want to!
Lastly... My big dream: My very own vanity table. I never had one and since I have my own place, the desire has only grown. But real, antique vanity tables are quite expensive, so I didn't get the chance to get one yet. It's not a necessity so I'd rather wait for the right match then buying an Ikea one that everyone has..Gorgeous table, mirror with an over-the-top frame and beautiful storage for all my make-up, everything's in my head already, I just have save up for a while :)
How do you feel about vintage items? Yay or nay? Let me know in the comments! Xoxo

Timeless Gems - Sixties & Seventies
Hi everyone!
I'm a massive music-lover and like a multitude of genres. Apart from my boyfriend, I don't know any people who share the same interests, so I decided to start a new, returning topic here on my blog: Timeless gems.
Every decade has its own sound, a representation of those habbits, trends and topics. I grew up with music from 40-50-60 years ago and would like to share my picks of timeless classics. I tried to divide it in different time frames, but please keep in mind that I might be a few years off :)
Simon & Garfunkel - Bridge over troubled water
The Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody
The Doors - The End
The Ronettes - Be my Baby
Terry Jacks - Seasons in the Sun
Louis Armstrong - What a wondeful World
Simon & Garfunkel - The Sound of Silence
Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade of Pale
The Mama's and the Papa's - California Dreamin'
The Beatles - Yesterday
The Doors - Riders on the Storm
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
Scott McKenzie - San Francisco
If you like "older" music, have a listen to the above! This is only an extremely small selection, leaving out many great talents such as Janis Joplin or The Byrds. I might do a par 2 later on :)
Let me know what you think, are you a sixties/seventies lover? Or maybe you're obsessed with an other period? Just comment below and we can share thoughts and opinions! Xoxo

First up: The sixties and seventies, if I could use a time machine, these are the years I want to return to. Love, peace and rock 'n roll, no strict rules about every little thing, the youngsters could experiment freely. This period definitely has some of the best music ever made, the era of rock bands with idealistic lads, using their lyrics to dream about a war-free future: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Doors and much much more.
Here are my most loved tracks of those years.
Ben E. King - Stand by Me
The Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody
The Doors - The End
The Ronettes - Be my Baby
Terry Jacks - Seasons in the Sun

My Favourites
Hi guys!
After the "50 Fun Facts about me" post I did in the very beginning, I now want to share my favourites with you. Is your favourite in the list as well? Let's talk! And please let me know what you love the most in the comments :)
Books! I have been addicted to Harry Potter since I was 12. I met my best friend thank to these books and I will never get sick of reading them, they remind me of my teenage high school years, with loads of great memories.
Disney movies... My greatest love and biggest tearjerker at the same time. I can not watch an (animal) Disney movies without crying my eyes out like a little baby. Seriously, why did Bambi's mother have to die? Why was Dumbo being bullied so bad? Why did the old lady abandon Tod in the forest? But still, I LOVE Disney and my all-time fave is Lady and the Tramp. I love the characters, the story, the song and it reminds me of my own life and relationship :)
On to the movie world, my favourite actor used to be Johnny Depp, because he's a friggin' genius, but since the last 2 years, Leonardo DiCaprio took his place. When Titanic was released, I was obsessed with Leo, as any teenage girl was, but as I got older the love faded away. I honestly thought he would never be able to surpass his Titanic-success, but he took everyone by surprise. Shutter Island, Inception, Django, The Great Gatsby, The Wolf of Wall Street,... He does it all and became an amazing actor. In Titanic he relied on his pretty face, but he really has become one of the greatest Hollywood names of all time. And I'm going to throw a gigantic bitch fit if he doesn't finally win an Oscar this year!
I never really had a favourite actress, I mostly have a love-hate relationship with them (Emma Watson - Love her in real life, hated her from HP 3 until the end). The first actress I 100% loved was Leighton Meester, Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl. She plays the bitchy and rude queen B. and at the same time, everyone loves Blair Waldorf, because you recognize her weaknesses. Too bad she doesn't appear in a lot of other roles, I loved "The Roommate" as well and of course "Monte Carlo", but those are not the roles I would like to see her in. Keep on hoping :)
Surprise surprise! My all-time favourite tv-show is Gossip Girl, it's absolutely brilliant. The great thing about GG is that it speaks to everyone, I have made convinced all my friends watch and love it, from a tomboy girl to a techno DJ to a football hooligan, they're all addicted. It's a good thing they decided to end the series after 6 seasons, it was all still credible and exciting. I have all 6 seasons and still watch it regularly. Some of the quotes have become life mottos!

Don't wait for destiny, take your faith into your own hands!
Back to Music! My all-time favourite artist is Jim Morrison, lead singer of The Doors. He died at the age of 27 in 1971 after a fast life of sex, drugs & rock 'n roll. I discovered The Doors thanks to my BF and have been a fan ever since. Jim has really become a cult figure and symbolizes the "Fuck the System" attitude. He was an absolute genius and, seriously girls, look at him, rraaaaw!
Lastly, my biggest style icon: Audrey Hepburn, what a woman! Graceful, fashionable, stylish, beautiful and talented, that's what she means to me. She's the perfect example that women don't have to wear a bikini to turn heads. She always respected herself and kept her clothes on, a very important signal, but the men were crazy about her. She's definitely an inspiration to me, she's an absolute icon and if more girls looked at her as a role model, their self confidence issues were non-existent!
That was it! I hope you enjoyed it and don't forget to comment below! Xoxo
Wardrobe Basics
Hi guys!
I decided to do a post on my essential items that every girl's wardrobe should contain. I struggled with my basic items for a long time because my style has changed quite a bit over the years. Now that I'm turning 25 in summer, I think I found my signature style that will remain through the following years. So, here we go!
The first essential is a well-fitted jeans. Finding the perfect jeans is a lot harder than you would think! Everyone has its own shape and needs a different type of jeans. Personally, I look my best in a straight, dark jeans with normal or high waist. If you go to a store that has a dedicated jeans corner, you can ask advice about your shape and type. Another tip is Levi's Curve ID which determines your perfect fit with a few questions, discover it here!
Second is a black and white T-shirt or top for the simple reason that you can combine those endlessly. They go with everything and form a perfect basic for any style: casual, preppy, sporty,... Go with what you like best, with or without sleeves, and the big advantage is that you can get these at any budget. Mine are from Zara, but this is an item you can literally find at any clothing store! I prefer black tops, because black slims down a bit and because I always knock everything over, so a white one wouldn't survive that long...
Next one is my favourite: Blazers. I have a slight preference for a pretty style (as in Blair Waldorf) so blazers are key. I work in retail and a blazer transforms every basic outfit (jeans + top) into a stylish, sofisticated look. At the moment I have 3 varieties: A short black one, a fitted dark blue one with rhinestones on the collar and a white smoking-like. Mint green, burgundy and coral is still on my wishlist :)
This one is an all-time classic that is an absolute must, no exceptions: The LBD or Little Black Dress. I believe every woman should have this in her closet, even if you rarely wear skirts/dresses, this dress always comes in handy when you have a job interview, fancy dinner or a wedding. I prefer the fitted, sleeveless LBD and I love the H&M ones. However, I do believe this is an investment piece, so my goal is to purchase a more expensive, qualitative one from Ted Baker or L.K. Bennett... Someday... When I win the jackpot :)
On to outerwear. A coat is something very personal and definitely a winter coat is so personal, I don't really have a basic style for that. For the "in-between-seasons" Fall and Spring I do have a clear preference: The trenchcoat. To me, the trenchcoat is the epitome of style and class, definitely if it's beige. The big dream is to be the proud owner of a Burberry trench one day, but the prices of those are ridiculous. Thank God there are great alternatives, especially Zara always has a great collection of trenchcoats.
On to shoes! I have never been a sneaker girl, so I don't feel those are basic, a lot of you will probably disagree, but because I'm quite small, I have been wearing heels since I was 12/13. I suggest you need at least one pair of each "type": Pumps, ankle boots and regular boots.
I have an enormous love for pumps with high heels, the higher the better! My first choice would be nude, since this shade makes your legs look longer, which is great for small girls like me. To be honest, I think you should own a pair of pumps in every possible colour, but not everyone is Paris Hilton... I recommend buying leather pumps, they're a bit more expensive, but it lasts longer and doesn't smell weird :) Second are ankle boots, great with a fitted jeans and under skirts/dresses. In the image below I say black, but you just have to choose the colour that is most present in your wardrobe, if you love beige/brown shades more, you should go for brown ones!
Last but not least are boots, with or without heels, whatever you prefer. Over the years I have outworn so many pairs of boots... I always choose the budget friendly ones, this way I can purchase new ones every year. At the moment I have honey Givenchy look-a-likes and brown ones without a heel, so I'm still on the hunt for black babies. I don't like too many details (fringes, belts, studs,...) and prefer keeping it clean, too many extras makes boots look cheap, especially if they have high heels.
Those were my wardrobe essentials! This is the foundation of my collection and not a day goes by without wearing at least one of the above. I'm very curious about your basics, do we have a lot in common or is yours completely different? Tell me in the comments!
Thanks for reading, I hope you liked it and see you next time! Bye xoxo

January Sale Haul
Hi guys!
Today I finally went Sale shopping. It's been about 1,5/2 years that I really shopped properly and I really needed more clothes. I only had 2 pants, 3 shirts and 3 dresses hanging in my closet and thanks so some financial advantages in December, I decided to spend a day in Antwerp to enjoy some well-deserved retail therapy.
I'm not a big fan of Sale, it's always so chaotic and people turn into beasts over bargains. I left at 9 in the morning so I could be ahead of the crowd, Antwerp is crazy busy on a Sale Saturday! I succeeded quite well in my shopping hunt, curious? Scroll down!
The first store was H&M, which I love, but during sale it's so messy. Everything is piled up, clothes are shattered over the floor,... This scarf immediately caught my eye as I walked in, it's perfect for a cold autumn or winter day and it was reduced to €7!
I have only recently discovered statement necklaces and am still building my collection. They're perfect to turn a basic black T-shirt to something fancy and chic. I found these 2 at a store called "Takko fashion", which you can compare to Primark. Very cheap clothing of low quality. I normally never shop here, but as I walked past it today I just went in, you never know what you'll find! These necklaces immediately drew my attention, they're so pretty! I had been looking for the perfect necklace for a while and didn't want to buy one if I wasn't absolutely in love. These are Limited Edition and are only €10 each so instead of picking one, I bought them both :)
There were 2 kinds of clothing I really needed to find: Tops and pants. I tend to just wear a shirt + blazer to work and I'm so sick of the same old outfit, so I needed other tops than a regular shirt. These 3 I found in the last store: Vero Moda/Only. Again, a brand I don't normally buy, I don't like the fit of most of their items but the BF wanted to visit Jack & Jones and since it was the same store I took a quick look. The silver glitter top I bought for a techno party that's coming up, the black top is very basic and simple (you can never go wrong with a simple black top) and the printed top looked surprisingly cute when I tried it on. The silver and black top were both €15 and the top with print €25.
After the tops, I still needed to find some jeans, after bikinis my least favourite thing to try on in a fitting room. If it slips on easily, it's mostly too big and if you find your size, you always have to make little jumps to get it up properly. But I really, really needed some so back to H&M, their sizes are always quite wide, which makes me feel better ;) I didn't dig into the Sale jeans, I went straight to the regular jeans corner and choose 2 "Straight Regular Jeans" (I'm not a fan of skinny jeans and definitely don't have the figure for a low waist jeans), one dark one and one lighter. Both were €39,95.
My original goal was to buy 2 pairs of boots: brown and black, but as always, I didn't find any pretty boots. I did find these cute ankle boots with golden details, perfect to pair with some jeans. They were only €26,99 at Forever 21, I can't wait to wear them!
Have you been sale shopping already? Leave a comment below, I'm very curious to see what your purchases are!
Bye! Xoxo

My Perfect Wedding Dress
Hi!
If you read my very first post, 50 Fun Facts about Me, you already know that I got engaged in the summer of last year :) I always dreamed of the day that I could wear a Princess dress and feel the "Belle of the Ball".
I decided to start a "My Wedding"-series, discussing all parts of a wedding and planning it, so this will be a returning topic! I'll start with the part I look forward to the most: The Dress.
Over the years I collected so many pictures from websites, blogs, magazines,... and I know what I want in a dress. A wedding dress is something personal and everyone has his/her opinion. I think this should be one of those decisions in life where you have to be selfish and only listen to yourself, it would be such a shame if you would feel gorgeous in one dress, but picked another one because your friends/siblings/parents don't like it. This is your time to shine!
There you have it! I will be a poofy, beaded Princess on my Wedding :) How does your perfect dress look like? Ball Gown, A-Line, Mermaid,...? Please let me know, I'm very curious! :)
Hope you liked it, bye!
Interior Inspiration #1
Hi!
Ever since I've been living together with my boyfriend, I have been loving getting Interior Design Inspiration. Pinterest is my biggest source for pretty living rooms, kitchens, walk-in closets and much more. And even though I love going through all of it, I can't seem to recreate the picture in real-life. Furniture is expensive and since we had to buy everything new, we couldn't go all out and had to stay within budget.
As you can probably guess, 90% of my furniture is from IKEA. I prefer combining different series of furniture, I don't want to buy a standard living room set with everything in the same colour and material, way too boring. So we started off with cheap IKEA stuff and we're now slowly moving to replacing those items with solid, qualitative pieces.
Below I have listed some of my favourite Pinterest pictures to get inspired. This will be a returning topic so you can stay up-to-date! Don't forget to visit my Pinterest board for loads of prettiness - Pinterest - Interior Design!
I hope some ideas popped into your mind after these gorgeous homes. Let me know what you think in the comments!
